Villagers celebrate an Akelarre

Villagers wear traditional costumes and hold torches while participating in an "Akelarre" (witches' Sabbath) inside a cave near Zugarramurdi June 21, 1998. Thousands of tourists from across Europe attended the fiesta, which is celebrated every year in the Pyrenees near the French border coinciding with the Summer solstice, to commemorate the rituals originally performed by witches in the XV century.
